The Case for a Combined EUCLID-WFIRST Microlensing Survey
The workshop is intended to stimulate the community about the potential of the EUCLID space mission for microlensing. The goals of the workshop are (but not limited to):
- to understand the capabilities of joint observations between WFIRST and EUCLID
- to assess the benefits of early observations from EUCLID
- to demonstrate the potential of ground based follow-up observations
While the first part of the meeting is dedicated to presentations, the second part will be reserved to open discussions and the start of working groups on the various ideas developed during the workshop. The ultimate goal is to synthesize ideas in a White Paper as well as the start of new collaborations.
The workshop registration is now open, please contact etibachelet@gmail.com or beaulieu@iap.fr to register. Also, if you are interested to give an oral presentation, please send an abstract before August 22, 2019.
