The Sinistro camera at LCOGT's Texas site (ELP) is now available for science observations.
The fl05 Sinistro replaced the kb74 SBIG camera on 11 Jan 2016. Preparations for the swap had been made during a maintenance trip to Texas in mid-November, which reduced the duration of the commissioning time. The first science observations were made on 19 Jan 2016 (UT). Processing of the science frames is currently (20 Jan) suspended, pending the acquisition of flat fields in all of the most-common filters, which will take several nights. For more information on the SInistros, please consult the Observatory Instruments page.
