The fl04 Sinistro camera (in Dome C at our Chilean site) warmed-up unexpectedly on Friday (Feb 19) and was producing bad frames. We suspect that the problem was contamination in the cooling system, which has now been cleared, but we're monitoring the camera's performance tonight.
At Siding Spring, both instruments on the 2-meter telescope are currently out-of-service. On Monday (Feb 22), our site manager discovered that a coolant line had ruptured and was leaking fluid onto the Spectral camera. The camera will be unavailable
until the shutter can be replaced. FLOYDS is being checked.
