We have debugged the "Sky" slit positioning mode on FLOYDS. "Sky" mode allows you to fix the position angle of the slit. (The more commonly-used mode sets the slit at the parallactic angle.) The change will take effect with FLOYDS observations beginning tonight (2017-04-28) on Maui.
Last night on Maui, a breaker unexpectedly tripped, which caused observations to be discontinued around 11 UT (2017-04-28). Normal observations should resume tonight.
Earlier on 2017-04-27, one of the computers at our South Africa site malfunctioned. The last science observations were made around 20 UT. We're working with the Sutherland site staff to remedy the problem.
